Michelle is the Founder of One World English Language Institute and an educator with over 25 years of experience in language instruction and academic leadership. A Philadelphia native, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in French from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s degree in Foreign Language Education from Temple University. She also holds dual citizenship in the United States and Portugal, reflecting her lifelong connection to global cultures and languages.
Throughout her career, Michelle has taught English to speakers of other languages across Slovakia, Lithuania, Italy, and Germany, and French within New York State’s public school system. She has also served in academic administration at a language institute in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she developed a deep understanding of program operations, student success, and instructional leadership.
Her vision for One World English Language Institute is grounded in the belief that language learning is a bridge to opportunity, confidence, and connection. She is committed to creating an inclusive, student-centered environment where learners from all backgrounds can grow and succeed.
Michelle has a deep personal connection to St. Augustine and the surrounding area, having vacationed there for more than 40 years before making it her permanent home in 2024.
Outside of her work, she enjoys skiing, yoga, hiking, and travel, and brings a global perspective and lifelong curiosity to both her personal and professional life.

Kevin, ESL Instructor
Dr. Kevin Clasen-LeBlanc is an educator and musician with extensive experience teaching students across K–12, collegiate, and international settings. He currently serves as Director of Bands at Trout Creek Academy in St. Augustine, Florida, where he teaches middle school instrumental music, and also teaches applied clarinet and saxophone at Florida State College at Jacksonville. In addition to his work in music education, he has taught English as a Second Language internationally and online, bringing a global perspective and cross-cultural understanding to his teaching practice.
Dr. Clasen-LeBlanc holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Clarinet Performance from Arizona State University, a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from Florida State University, a Master of Music in Bass Clarinet Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, and a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from The University of Texas at Austin. His studies and professional experiences have taken him throughout the United States and Europe, including advanced work in Belgium and France focused on performance, pedagogy, and historical performance practice.
As a performer, Dr. Clasen-LeBlanc has appeared with ensembles including the Brussels Philharmonic, Phoenix Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, Arizona Opera, and Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed and taught in a variety of educational and community settings throughout Europe and the United States, experiences that continue to inform his student-centered and culturally responsive approach to education.
Passionate about language, communication, and the arts, Dr. Clasen-LeBlanc is committed to helping students develop confidence, creativity, and critical thinking through meaningful educational experiences.
Beth, Associate Director and Instructor
After living all over the United States, including stops in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Pittsburgh, Beth finally made St Augustine her home four years ago. She holds a B.S. Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, with majors in French, with a concentration in literature and culture, and History, specializing in modern European studies.
Beth has joined One World as the Associate Director and an instructor, with a passion for helping students thrive. She has an extensive background in foreign languages, including work as a translator in the legal and medical fields, and in the bicycle industry. Beth has also worked as a teacher in the subjects of French, English, and history. Her non-teaching career includes work within the financial industry, specializing in defined contribution and pension plans, work with non-profit organizations, and the financial aid department of a liberal arts college. She has always had a desire not just to teach, but to help students succeed.
Outside of the classroom, Beth enjoys studying languages, cooking, playing guitar, watching films, and doing yoga.
